„People here are not stupid, they are disconnected from the global trade. That’s all” – says the Ghanaian businessman, the successful man. The movie about the principal errors in the international help for Africa was rejected by the ONZ festival. Provocative? Iconoclastic? On several dozen of festivals he achieved several or so awards.
“You financially support your farmers, working at the cotton plantation, then you deliver us a worn clothing – said one of the Economist from Senegal about the campaign to collect clothes for the poor countries in rich countries.
“A medicine that could prevent half of all malaria-related deaths costs only 12 cents per dose.” How is it possible that “the West has spent USD 2.3 trillion on foreign aid over the past 50 years, yet has failed to provide poor children with a medicine costing just 12 cents?”
The World Bank mentions „the poor and marginalized people” as a group of „stakeholders” taking part in a major international aid project. Is this some kind of a joke, do they mean what they say? Do native Africans have anything to say in the matter?
